“I must make the difference”
These are the words uttered by a teacher from a private school in Kenilworth at our recent training; 11-14 May 2012 in Wellington. She had just finished the CrossRoads training and she mentioned how she enjoyed the character development that CrossRoads focuses on as way to bring in the moral fibre that is lacking in our communities.
Truly one needs to make a difference with our youth. Our slogan says: “Transforming communities with Hope, Life and Truth.” Her words of affirmation were echoed by all who attended the training and indicated that CrossRoads has the ability to mobilise people to action with illuminating lessons for the learners.
As the third term starts in a couple of weeks, I am looking forward to team teaching with some of the teachers who attended the training. They are excited about the training but some find it hard to implement what they have learned. My job is to team teach with a couple of schools until they are able to do the lessons without me.
